From Humbug we rode down towards the California border, in anticipation of Harris Beach, the gold standard of hiker/biker sites.
We had a pretty substantial climb that day, but the descent was well worth it. We ran into Chris on the way, and had a hard time keeping up with him. What a difference 6 years makes!
We managed to convince Chris to stop for some picture breaks. I have the impression that he slowed down for us just for the company. I don't know if I'd be able to handle a trip like this by myself.
I wonder how these little bridges form?

There was tons of small boat traffic on our way to Brookings. We camped right outside of Brookings knowing that the next morning we'd be rolling into California.
