Today was one crazy day. We made it to Charlottesville, but not without some minor hangups. More on this in a sec, but first some well deserved pics:

This is my bike all loaded up in its den in my parents' garage. While I was packing and pacing, Laura was stuck in Denver due to a crazy snowstorm. Her flight was delayed until 2 AM (poor Laura) so we did not make good on our plans of leaving on the 17th. Instead I woke up at 4:30 (the first of many sunrises, I'm sure) and drove the two of us to Louisville, all the while taking advantage of the bass in her pimp car (if you can't see the rear view mirror vibrate to the beat, its not loud enough).

These are our bikes in the light of day, and the dude is Tim's step dad Joe, who was kind and patient enough to drive us the ten hours to Yorktown and stomach Cheddars for dinner.

Look how proud we are. In case anyone is wondering, Tim and I put these bikes together ourselves (see first post), so yea, we got a right to be proud (and to brag about it). We both have the same frame and the same tires, and same brand saddles, but I do think that our personalities shine through in our custom designs.
Can you believe that we're hauling all this shit (save for the small suitcase in the lower right hand corner) across the country? Who's crazy idea was this?
